Reviews
We stayed in the floating house and the kids loved it especially when we go out in the middle of the lake, swimming, kayaking, going to the nearby island, feeding ducks. There are also water activities like jetski-ing and the like.
Though the idyllic place is not w modern facilities but the quiet and the beauty of the place make up more than of it.
The owner and staff are cheerful and super helpful.
Reserve online and witness the beauty of the place.
Very nice place. Ordered food is good here. Very beautiful scenery and quiet energy. Clean room and toilet. Solid place to relax and do nothing, all the activities were quite pricey so it might be boring if staying longer than overnight but that's ok
4 stars only because no free toilet paper.
sunday slow down by the lake, @aquascapeph caliraya in cavinti, laguna. perfect way to unplug and reset.
def one of the most relaxing places i’ve been in a loong time. their main attractions include their floating cottages, and a variety of outdoor/water activities (paddleboarding, kayaking, jet skiing, high-speed tubing, riding an ATV, etc.)
we stayed in a villa terrace with a breathtaking view of the lake. one of the activities we missed was watching the sunset from our bedroom terrace, coz we had to check in late in the night.
still worth it though. resort staff and even the owners were very accommodating and even had us try a floating cottage, and cross the lake where we were supposed to ride atvs, but tried the high-speed tubing (on video) and another ride just like it, pulled by a speedboat, instead. definitely worth the try. had an amazing weekend with friends! 😍✅💕👣🎉 #restlessfeet #restlessfeet👣 #restlessfeetph #eatlivewander #eatlivewanderph #eatlivewanderreviews #aquascapecaliraya
Our stays here have always been great memorable experiences. Whenever I ask my daughter if she wants to go to the beach, she proposes to go here instead. I'm sure she's recorded a lot of core memories here.
Accomodations:
We've always booked the Floating Suite so we could wake up to the view of the lake. It comes with a free lake cruise/tour which will take you around the lake and it's surrounding areas. You can ask to stay in the middle of the lake where you can swim and use the kayak (each floating cottage comes with one for free). Room rates might be relatively steep but don't expect hotel like amenities. You are paying for the experience and not really to be pampered.
The room is comfortable enough though. The matress and comforters were always clean and newly washed.
Towels and toiletries not included though, so make sure to bring your own.
No aircon as well, but most of the time there's a nice breeze blowing. We rarely used the fans during our stays there.
Common CRs/showers are available if you want to take hot showers but is a 2 minute walk from the floating cottage so take that into consideration. Also, no no. 2 in the floating cottage toilets. You'll have to go to the common toilets for that too. If that's an issue for you, Non-floating villas have their own dedicated toilets with hot showers where you can do whatever you want haha
Customer Service: 5 star service. Miss Maribel and the rest of the staff went over and beyond making sure we were okay and had everything we needed even when we arrived late at night. This made our stay infinitely better.
Food: N/A as we brought and cooked our own. They do sell food, beer, drinks and coffee but expect a significant mark up.
It should not be called a "hotel". It should be called a camp site.
They don't serve food. They tell you it is the cook's day off. You have to go out to buy your food. The nearest turo turo is about 3 to 4 kilometers. You have to drive to Pagsanjan for about 30 minutes to get to a decent restaurant.
The rooms could use a lot more cleaning.
The toilet of the cottage where we stayed is very small. It stinks too! The water basin fell off. We cannot use it. You have to sit sideways to do your "business" because your knees would hit the wall. And to think that I am only 5 feet!..mwahahaha!
No "service" to comment on. It is non- existent!!!
They don't have any towels and toiletries. No soap or even a toilet paper. It is not worth the 10k per night payable in advance.
The view good, though. So I am giving it 1 star.
Overall experience was great. There were some issues, such as jetskis and boats from other businesses not being mindful of their speed and thus causing minor waves reaching the floating house. It's an inconvenience at worst, having to make sure nothing falls.
Onto the good part:
The lake is AMAZING. They require you to wear life vest for any and all activities that involve the lake though. +1 for safety haha.
You are free to kayak wherever. Absolutely enjoyed that. Had to add 1k to convert the free kayak (from floating house booking) to a two-seater kayak.
It's easy enough to cook your own food (and own cooking stuff, they don't provide), just make sure you don't do soups or be prepared to hold it down/pick it up whenever there are waves incoming from nearby speeding jetskis and boats (happened a total of two times for a single overnight stay).
Place is windy. Maybe too windy. But otherwise it's a very cool breeze. Drone users beware. We tried it using Mavic Mini and it said the winds were too strong and to land immediately. Drone at your own risk.
There's a free tour using the floating house, but if you book the small one you'd have to switch houses for it.
Place is just beautiful. I've always been in awe of what people can achieve, skyscrapers and whatnot, but a beautiful mountaintop lake was not in the list of things to expect from humanity. Absolutely worth it for the sheer aesthetic of glamping on water. The lake and the house is very instagrammable.
A wonderful escapade. Away from the large crowds, noisy and congested vacation destinations. You'll have a wonderful time in this serene, cool and relaxing inland getaway. Lodging is great as well as the prices are reasonable. Lots of water activities to do.
Honest Review:
Stayed 31 Dec 2021 - 2 Jan 2022 at the floating cabana with my family. Very serene and peaceful view, really like the fresh breeze and FB page was responsive. However, the accommodation itself was mediocre for it’s steep price and had to pay extra for our dog Php 500/night (given peak holiday rate: Php 20,200 for 2 nights, a group of 4, mom’s a senior and had no discount either)
Cabanas were in bad shape, had no running water, roof was falling apart, filthy bathroom and cabinets, floor panels needed repair, faded furniture paint, messy shed behind the cabana, curtains were dusty and we were given blankets with stains on them. We were told to bring essentials (toiletries/drinking water/towels/food/cooking gear) didn’t mind to do so as we were expecting a good stay but we were disappointed. Also, the staff weren’t hospitable with our concerns, didn’t even help carry our luggage when we arrived and even when transferring to another cabana. Props that they tried to amend our stay by transferring us to another cabana/changing sheets but other than the beautiful lake view, I wouldn’t say it was a good deal that we would revisit. They have to patch their place up! :(
